2.  Disabled veterans, Purple Heart Recipients unremarried widow/widower of deceased veterans:
You will need to submit a Standard Form 15, Application for Veteran Preference, and the forms and documents required by the SF-15.  For disabled veterans, this means an updated (dated within the last 12 months) civil service disability verification letter from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Please call 1-800-827-1000 to obtain such a letter.

3.  Testing-designated positions:  All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing-designated position are subject to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to employment.  Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied VA employment.
