How Can I Kick The Habit?

There are many things you can do to kick the smoking habit and break nicotine addiction.

The first step is to decide why  you want to quit. 
Everyone decides to quit for different reasons.  Some people want to quit for health reasons, while others may want to save money or set a good example for family.  Your own reasons will motivate you when the going gets rough. 

The second step is to get ready to quit. 
People who successfully quit smoking get ready in 5 key ways. They:

    S =  Set a quit date

    T = Talk to health providers about getting extra support

    A = Anticipate and plan for smoking triggers

    R = Remove cigarettes from their home, car, and work

    T = Tell family, friends, and co-workers that they plan to quit
