Overton Brooks VA Medical Center
The Patient Advocate Office
The Patient Advocate Office was established to ensure that all patients are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. Patient Advocates act as liaisons between the patient and Overton Brooks VA Medical Center by promoting high quality health care— an effort that requires an expert understanding of the patient’s entitlements, rights and responsibilities. In short, they’re problem solvers dedicated to serving our nation’s Veterans as well as their loved ones. This dedication extends to any and all visitors of Overton Brooks VAMC and its affiliated Community Base Outpatient Clinics.
Patient Advocates work with an equally dedicated hospital staff to ensure that the Veteran’s needs are met. It’s a tradition that has distinguished the hospital since the first patient was admitted in 1950. Communication, Consideration, and Courtesy, serve as values for this tradition, enabling our advocates to provide fair and equitable service to those who served.
Members of our clinical and administrative staff share these values and work hand-in-hand with Patient Advocates to complete the process of patient satisfaction.
We welcome any suggestions that you may have to help us deliver better service and quality care. Please contact either of the Patient Advocates for any assistance that you may need. The Patient Advocate Offices are located next to each other in the main lobby of the medical center.
